THE THREAD OF THOUGHT BEHIND DHOOP CHHAON

More like music than like fiction. It is a progression of moods and feelings. A petrified fountain of thought with a sweet sublime flavour. Like the word, which speak of love and new horizons. With essence of togetherness and love, no matter how hard situation goes, the Beauty of life is in holding each other unconditionally.
You will find a glimpse of warmth that we have within us.

The sacrifices of a parent and a man devoted to his family are not new in our society, but they rarely get attention. Such is the story of Shaurya. A stubborn man with aggressive nature, a difficult past, and the goal to be rich and powerful. His life, entwined with that of his brother and both their families narrate the importance of upbringing, the violent nature of society and the effect of Karma.

Born to a hardworking mother, struggling to make ends meet, Shaurya and Aman have experienced poverty right from childhood. During the cruel 1984 riots that only brought disaster, Shaurya and Aman have to face new difficulties. Shaurya gets forced to go through extreme measures to survive. On the other hand, we get introduced to Simran and her father Daljeet Singh, seeking protection amidst the chaos. The father and daughter get help from Shaurya, who had befriended a young Simran. The riots ended but the pain didn’t. Shaurya angered by the actions he was forced to take during the riots, lives life intending to be rich and powerful. His friend Surander, knowing this, introduces him to his boss, who turns out to be someone Shaurya knew. Surander’s boss offers a life-changing deal to Shaurya and his brother.

Both the brothers move on with life, focusing on what they want. With Daljeet’s support, Shaurya gets successful and gets involved in illegal activities as well. But a blooming romance and sudden death to one of his close ones put an end to those activities. Years later, Shaurya, living his life happily with his family, suffers another heartbreaking blow, which brings trouble in Matruchaya, the house he lovingly built for his family. The troubles pass down to the next generation, and the story completes a circle. Live the phrase, “Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes” with Dhoop Chhaon and experience the delights and dismays of common yet unique lives.
